The Empty Tomb…

I apologize for the length of this blurb in advance, but this one is vitally important. The most convincing miracle of Jesus is his rising from the dead, or resurrection. Anti-Christians Paul and James were eye-witnesses, and it changed their allegiances and lives. The Disciples were also eye-witnesses, and ask yourself this – would you be willing to die a torturous death for something you knew with certainty was false? This is much different from other martyrs who don’t know for sure, and go to their deaths by faith that what they believe is true. It wouldn’t have been a matter of faith for the Disciples. It obviously wasn’t a hallucination – hallucinations don’t happen to multiple people at once. To say Jesus swooned is ridiculous – there were several eye-witnesses to his death, who I guess just didn’t notice him still breathing? One of them being a Roman soldier who thrust a spear into Jesus’s side? Really?? And finally, the conspiracy idea that the Disciples took his body is silly – again, if they did this, they would have known he was a farce. Why bother with it at that point? Can we agree that based on the evidence, the most likely explanation for the empty tomb is that he resurrected? Even though this is the most likely explanation, it definitely still takes faith. And if you have the faith to believe he resurrected, why not also have the faith to believe the rest of what he taught? What do you have to lose? If you are struggling with Jesus being God, please see the blurb “Perhaps question Jesus’s Sanity?” It all fits together, and the enormous amount of evidence shouldn’t be ignored. It demands a stance in faith.
