Faith is believing in something even slightly uncertain. If on a jury, there may not be certainty that the defendant is guilty, but with faith you believe in the guilt and deliver a verdict. Believing in God, dinosaurs, macro-evolution, miracles, etc all take faith to some extent. I would argue that even the statement “I can’t have faith” takes faith since there is no way to prove you can’t/don’t have it.
